Hispanic Economic's Business Mission to Spain

Spain is the world’s ninth largest economy according to its GDP figures.  It is the seventh largest among the OECD member countries.  Spain is the tenth largest importer in the world of commercial services, and it boasts a privileged geographical position with potential access to nearly one billion consumers in Europe and Northern Africa.  It is also confronting unique challenges in 2010 as it seeks to increase trade to the Americas.

Hispanic Economics believes that, for the NAFTA nations, Spain is a natural entry point to the European Union.  This is part of our series of business missions to important economic regions.  The program includes country briefings, seminars and networking opportunities.

Export to Europe

European Business Opportunities Forum

May 6, 2010 – Miami, Florida

At a time when millions of Americans are out of work, boosting our exports is a short-term imperative. For this reason, 2010 marks the launch of the National Export Initiative — an ambitious effort to marshal the full resources of the United States government behind American businesses that sell goods and services abroad. The National Export Initiative is a single, comprehensive strategy to double American exports in the next five years and create two million new jobs.

Mission to Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China

Expo 2010 Shanghai China

The USA Pavilion is an enormous gray steel structure designed to resemble an eagle stretching its wings in welcome. The exhibition tells the story of the American spirit of perseverance, innovation, and community-building in a multi-dimensional, hi-tech presentation. It presents the US as a place of opportunity and diversity where people come together to change their communities for the better.

The overall theme of the pavilion is "Rise to the Challenge." In keeping with the Expo's theme of "Better City, Better Life," the challenges depicted will be creating environmentally sustainable communities, engaging in a healthy lifestyle and using technology to improve people's lives. The pavilion showcases American business and technology, as well as culture and values, to foster stronger friendship between the American and Chinese peoples.

An estimated 70 million people are expected to visit the Expo 2010 between May 1 and October 31, 2010.

HispanicEconomics will sponsor a mission to the Expo 2010 Shanghai, China
